Dean’s Advisory Council
The primary mission of Dean’s Advisory Council is to link the College’s academic programs with professional and academic communities. The Advisory Council interacts with the Dean and faculty and serves as a resource for the Dean and the College.
The Dean’s Advisory Council is a distinguished panel of industry, business, and academic leaders, alumni, and friends whose purpose is to help shape the direction of the college by:
- Providing expertise, perspective, and strategic counsel to the dean
- Being a strong and enthusiastic advocate, supporter, and champion for the college
- Promoting the prestige of the college by strengthening our ties to industry, government, community, high schools, and community colleges
- Being engaged in fundraising activities and goals

Industrial Advisory Boards
The primary mission of our Industrial Advisory Boards (IAB) is to link our programs with our professional communities. The IAB assists by:
- Promoting awareness locally, regionally, and nationally of the program's projects, awards, recognitions, faculty, and graduates.
- Advising on matters related to our academic programs, including efforts to continually develop new and existing programs.
- Reviewing the relevance of our program educational objectives to assure that they are current and meet the needs of the program’s constituents.
- Assist department in developing and assessing strategic directions.
- Help the department, faculty, and administration achieve a broader, more objective perspective on university and professional community issues
