Creativity, Research, & Scholarship Awards
The Faculty Creativity, Research, and Scholarship Awards are the most prestigious awards bestowed at ARCS. They are presented to innovative faculty members who have distinguished themselves in research activities.
Winners receive a one-year fixed price sum of $7,500 for early-career awards and $10,000 for career awards.
Nominations are reviewed and scored by the UNO Research Council. Early-career and career awards may be presented in two categories: (1) research or (2) creativity and scholarship.

UNO Grant Program
The Office of Research grant program includes several funding opportunities for various creative, competitive, and inter-disciplinary research projects on campus. Applicants are encouraged to work collaboratively with other professors and to consider the process an opportunity to hone their grant-writing skills.
Proposals are reviewed and scored by the UNO Research Council.

Tolmas Scholars
Tolmas Scholars are awarded student worker positions through the Privateer Undergraduate Research and Scholarly UNO Experience (PURSUE) and the College of Sciences Undergraduate Research Program (CoSURP). Each program introduces undergraduate students to research opportunities while working with UNO faculty members. In 2019, the programs were funded in part by a generous contribution from the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust.
