Semester Checklist

Congratulations! We're looking forward to meeting you at Orientation! There's a lot do before class starts. Here's what to expect as you get started.

Log onto WebSTAR >>

Establish your user name and password on WebSTAR by going to the website. If you have questions, call the UCC Help Desk at 504-280-HELP (4357).

Sign up for New Student Orientation >>

If you are a freshman or transfer student with less than 60 hours, you must attend a New Student Orientation session. If you are an adult student (age 25 and up) or a non-degree seeking student it is not required, but we encourage you to sign up for orientation. All new students will receive an invitation to New Student Orientation. Orientation assists new students with their transition to UNO. Students will meet with an advisor and sign up for classes at orientation (adult orientation does not include advising and registration, but freshmen and transfer programs do).

Submit either the compliance form or the online waiver to Student Health Services: 504-280-6387.

Get Your UNO ID >>

Go to 101Q University Computing and Communications.

Meet with Your Advisor >>

Register for Classes >>

Access the catalog, bulletin, schedule, and calendar, at the Office of the Registrar's website.

Learn about On-Campus Residency Requirements >>

A University of Louisiana System policy requires that all unmarried, full-time undergraduate students regardless of age or emancipation status, live in campus residence halls as long as space is available. This policy further states that in the event a college or university under the Board of Trustees cannot provide adequate housing for students in this category, they may be exempt according to specific priorities.

First, pay through WebSTAR or in person at the Bursar’s counter. then stop by the Campus Police Office (Computing and Communications Center, 2nd floor) to receive your decal. Be sure to have your car registration information, proof of insurance and receipt of payment with you.

UNO has a web-based, emergency communications system which enables students to receive important information instantly. The notification system requires no additional software, and your contact information will not be sold to third party marketers.
