2University Email Accounts

All students are assigned an email account with an @uno.edu suffix. This account is yours even after you graduate from UNO and can be used by alumni. All students should use their UNO email address for all university related communications (i.e. not hotmail or yahoo email).

To access your email, please visit http://owa.uno.edu

3New Student Orientation

If you are a freshman or transfer student with less than 60 hours, you must attend a New Student Orientation session. If you are an adult student (age 25 and up) or a non-degree seeking student it is not required, but we encourage you to sign up for orientation. All new students will receive an invitation to New Student Orientation. Orientation assists new students with their transition to UNO. Students meet with an advisor and sign up for classes (adult orientation does not include advising and registration, but freshmen and transfer programs do).

This policy further states that in the event a college or university under the Board of Trustees cannot provide adequate housing for students in this category, they may be exempt according to specific priorities.
