Important Dates

All fees for the Fall 2016 semester must be paid by August 15, 2016 for early registration and August 23, 2016 for late registration.

If balance is not paid by August 12th at 4:30 p.m., your class enrollment will be cancelled.

Late registration begins on August 13th.  If a student enrolls or re-enrolls (from being cancelled) during late registration, the $150 late registration fee will be charged to the student's fee bill.

  • Regular classes begin: August 17, 2016 
  • Final date to add classes: August 23, 2016


  • Labor Day- Monday, September 5, 2016
  • Fall Break - Thursday and Friday, October 13 & 14, 2016
  • Thanksgiving Break - Thursday and Friday, November 24 & 25, 2016

The final date to receive a full refund (less any non-refundable fees and $50 Administrative fee) for dropped classes or schedule adjustments is August 23, 2016.

After August 23, there are NO REFUNDS FOR DROPPED CLASSES . You must drop all classes and resign (withdraw from the university) in order to receive a refund for any dropped class.

If you drop all classes and resign (withdraw from the university) between August 17-23, a $50 administration fee will be assessed to your student account.

The final date to drop course(s) or resign and NOT have course(s) recorded is September 6, 2016.

The final date to resign (withdraw from ALL classes) and have your tuition reduced by 50% (less any non-refundable fees) is September 14, 2016. 

A new Extended Payment Plan Option is available for the Fall for the same $50 fee.  The new payment plan allows for four payments of 25% of the Fall term balance after any financial aid has been applied. If a student is in good financial standing with UNO, they will be able to use the Extended Payment Plan Option (EPPO). The EPPO allows students to pay a minimum of 25 percent of the total balance required by the designated payment deadline to complete registration (August 12, 2016 4:30 p.m.). The remaining installments are due September 15; October 17; and November 15 for the Fall term.

Final Date to drop course(s) or resign from the University and receive a (W) for full-term course(s) is October 12, 2016. (A fee of $50 per course will be charged to an Undergraduate student receiving a grade of "W" for a class.)
