The Office of Bursar is the primary service unit for managing students' financial records and needs. We also assist and serve the University's colleges and departments, faculty and staff, the general public, private and corporate businesses, as well as federal and state agencies in performing their financial responsibilities.

Office of Bursar

The services of the bursar's office include but are not limited to:

  • Billing, collection, and reconciliation of student and non-student accounts receivable
  • Preparation and distribution of student registration fee bills
  • Distribution of sponsorships, scholarships, financial aid, and student checks
  • Collection of student organizational deposits and the distribution of those funds to the appropriate student organization

Please note:

 Financial Responsibility Policy:

Students are required to agree to the Financial Responsibility Policy before they are allowed to register for classes for the first time. Students will then be required to agree each calendar year. The Financial Responsibility Policy informs students of their financial obligations to The University of New Orleans upon registration for classes or if the student owes the University for some other reason (such as Parking Fine, Meal Plan, etc.). This agreement states that students are ultimately responsible for any balance owed to the University and will be responsible for any collection costs if the balance is not paid in a timely manner. Students will be prompted to agree to the Policy when they log in to WebSTAR for the first time...and each calendar year thereafter.

Students can review the Financial Responsibility Policy here.
