Graduates of the College of Engineering are invited to join the Order of the Engineer,
a national organization devoted to maintaining high ethical standards in the engineering
profession.
This organization's objective is to increase the engineering potential of the United
States for the security and strength of the nation. Go to the home page of the national
organization
This professional graduate engineering society was established in 1998 in the College
of Engineering at UNO. This student organization seeks to enhance the education of
the graduate engineer by promoting graduate-level research and technical communication
skills among the engineering student body. The goal is for each member or group to
complete at least one research project each year. Membership is also open to undergraduates.
Members of the UNO chapter, established more than 20 years ago, compete in the Wooden
Boat Competition and attend the national organization's annual meetings.
