College of Sciences

Through its seven departments, the College of Sciences offers baccalaureate degrees in the natural, physical and computational sciences, as well as several masters’ and Ph.D. programs. Core to all programs is classroom and laboratory instruction. Graduate and qualified undergraduate students may also participate in research experiences in the basic and applied sciences.

The University of New Orleans has been awarded a $223,000 grant from the National Science Foundation to integrate computer science with psychology for the detection and prevention of cybersecurity risk.

with a Bang

As part of Einstein Week, dozens of onlookers showed up on Monday to watch a noontime demonstration in the quad outside the Earl K. Long library that involved liquid nitrogen, a trash can and a lot of ping pong balls.
