The University of New Orleans continues to monitor Tropical Storm Cindy. As of now, there is no change to normal University operations. Classes will be held and administrative offices and buildings will be open for business. If there is any change, the University will send out notification through campus email and through its main social media accounts.

The only program that has been affected is New Student Orientation, which was scheduled to start today and will be moved to another date.

Please note that Lakeshore Drive is closed, so drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes. We will be monitoring conditions and stand prepared to make adjustments if power outages or flooding in the immediate vicinity become an issue. Please stay in touch with your campus email and UNO’s main social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for any updates.
