POSITION SUMMARY

The Department of Anthropology and Sociology invites applications for a Tenure Track Assistant Professor position beginning Fall 2018.


RESPONSIBILITIES

The successful candidate will be expected to teach a 3/3 teaching load at the graduate and undergraduate level in courses that will contribute to our course offerings in criminology, deviance, social justice, and required courses for majors. In addition to effective teaching, the successful candidate is expected to publish independent scholarly research, perform service on graduate committees in the department’s MA program, perform service to the university, the profession of sociology, and the larger community.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A PhD in Sociology, or a closely related social science discipline, is required. ABD candidates who have set a defense date may also be considered.
