Enrollment Services


The Associate Director for Recruitment serves as an integral member of the enrollment management team at the University of New Orleans. Responsibilities include development, implementation, and assessment of the Strategic Enrollment Management Plan, managing a local territory, developing relationships with internal and external institutional constituents, managing recruitment efforts of the institution, conducting campus visits with students and families, representing the Office of Admission and Enrollment Services at various recruitment programs and events, collaborating with advisors, and other recruitment and supervisory duties, as assigned. The Associate Director serves as the senior recruitment representative of the institution as well as supervises 7 other professional recruiters. Coordinates all recruitment efforts and will supervise and mentor all recruitment staff.


Develops, implements, and assesses the strategic recruitment plan including all necessary travel, budget management, and programming. Actively collects and uses data to make decisions and improve both individual and office performance. Ensures timely, accurate and efficient development and execution of recruitment efforts, creating performance goals and metrics, and oversees staff training while identifying and supporting professional development opportunities for staff. Work collaboratively with colleges, departments, and divisions for planning, coordinating, implementing, and assessing admissions recruitment and student engagement strategies in accordance with the university’s Strategic Enrollment Management Plan. Ensures quality, timely customer service from all recruitment staff to all prospects, applicants, and enrolled students when communicating in-person, via telephone, and/or electronically. Develop the required knowledge base to serve as a resource to all students coming to the Privateer Enrollment Center. Will actively seek out this knowledge and take advantage of opportunities to grow professionally. Promotes a culture of professional excellence and personal growth for all personnel assigned to the division. Conducts an annual performance evaluation for each subordinate setting future goals and strategies. Perform other duties as assigned.


Master's degree required. Professional experience working in Enrollment Services, strong interpersonal skills, willingness to work non-traditional hours, and the ability to relate to individuals of all ages and backgrounds required. Documented record in a higher education setting with experience in enrollment management, student affairs, or student services. Demonstrated commitment to student success, a working understanding of student development theory, and outstanding oral and written communication skills are preferred.


Advanced degree. Technical experience working with PeopleSoft Student Solutions, and other software applications. Comfortable with basic marketing, advertising, and recruiting principles.


Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
