Medicaid Support Contract



• Assist staff with complex pharmacy program questions, rebate payment postings, reconciliation questions, and technical issues. This includes working with the Database Administration group in improving and editing current reports and programs that are utilized by the Drug Rebate and Pharmacy Support teams. • Review rebate analysts' monthly and quarterly productivity reports, final dispute resolutions, data analyses, and letters that are assembled and completed. • Act as lead for Drug Rebate and Pharmacy Support sections by assisting with complex rebate and programmatic issues and by disseminating pertinent information to staff through verbal and written communication. • Ensure that the Pharmacy Helpdesk Hotline is always covered, assist with problem calls, and provide backup assistance with call overflow. • Oversee the disbursement and reconciliation of the rebate payments and ensure that the department meets accounting deadlines. • Perform monthly database maintenance tasks and quality control measures to ensure a high level of integrity in pharmacy program data. • Provide assistance as needed to LDH pharmacists and Pharmacy Support Operations Supervisor, including but not limited to: performing mailouts, data entry, provider calls, information requests, and policy and programmatic research. • Conduct special data analysis projects pertaining to the pharmacy program. • Conduct periodic reviews of pharmacy claims to assess adherence to Medicaid program policies and procedures. • Act as liaison between the LDH Pharmacy Department, other LDH contractors, and UNO Pharmacy Unit staff. • Facilitate the production of federal and state quarterly rebate invoices. • Prepare special reports and draft letters pertaining to Pharmacy Unit projects. • Maintain updates to policies, procedures, and training manual; disseminate any changes to employees. • Conduct an annual performance evaluation for each subordinate, setting future goals and strategies. • Conduct recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and professional development of assigned staff and new hires. • Other tasks as directed.


• Bachelor’s degree. • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in claims monitoring/processing, data analysis, accounting, or auditing. • Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills. • Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills.


• Advanced degree. • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in claims monitoring/processing, data analysis, accounting, or auditing. • Minimum 1 years of supervisory experience. • Experience in federal/state health care programs. • Knowledge of relational database structures and SQL language. • Professional experience in health care field or Medicaid program support. • Knowledge of the Louisiana Medicaid Drug Rebate and Pharmacy Programs. • CPT, ICD‐9 or ICD‐10 coding, and HCPCS knowledge. • CHDA, HIM, RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CMA, CPA, CIA, CGAP, HFMA or other relevant industry certifications.


Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
