POSITION SUMMARY

(1 Position located in Baton Rouge)


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform extensive claims analyses and research through exportation of large volumes of data to Microsoft Excel with the use of spreadsheet program functions and formulas. • Research and resolve rebate invoice disputes made by drug manufacturers. • Provide assistance as needed to Pharmacy Program Pharmacists and UNO Pharmacy management, including, but not limited to, performing mail outs, data entry, information requests, and policy and programmatic research. • Provide backup assistance to the Pharmacy Helpdesk Hotline in troubleshooting incoming calls. • Review and investigate monthly outlier reports to proactively identify and prevent provider billing errors. • Identify overpaid claims to providers and drafts letters concerning recovery of the overpayments. • Communicate issues and pertinent information to providers, drug companies, and staff members through verbal and written communication. • Receive participating drug manufacturer rebate payments and assist with the entry of those payments into the rebate accounting system. • Compile monthly and quarterly productivity reports that track current projects, achievements and future goals that need to be completed. • Review subordinates assigned projects to ensure that they are complete, current, and stored appropriately. • Assist coworkers with complex payment postings, reconciliation questions and technical issues. This includes working with the Database Administration group in improving and editing current reports and programs that are used by all Pharmacy staff. • Conduct an annual performance evaluation for each subordinate, setting future goals and strategies. • Conduct recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and professional development of assigned staff. • Other tasks as directed.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Bachelor’s degree. • Minimum 1 year of professional experience in claims monitoring/processing, data analysis, accounting or auditing. • Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills. • Great attention to detail and follow‐up and verbal/written communications skills.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced degree. • Supervisory experience. • Minimum 2 years of professional experience in claims monitoring/processing, data analysis, accounting or auditing. • Experience in federal/state health care programs. • Professional experience in health care field or Medicaid program support. • Knowledge of the Louisiana Medicaid Rebate Programs. • CPT, ICD9/10 coding and HCPCS knowledge. • CHDA, HIM, RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CMA, CPA, CIA, CGAP, HFMA or other relevant industry certifications.


SALARY

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
