POSITION SUMMARY


RESPONSIBILITIES

The Director of Business Operations will manage the daily business operations of the Department of Athletics and be responsible for the following duties associated with this position: Athletics Budget Oversight. Budget strategy and planning. Prepare annual and quarterly budget reports for University and Board of Regents. Prepare Financial Reports for NCAA. Prepare and/or review Purchase Orders, Check Requests, Travel Authorizations and Travel Vouchers. Manage state travel card process and Athletics CBA Account. Reconcile vouchers and receipts. Work in close collaboration with state legislative and internal auditors. Oversee and serve as Liaison with Business Affairs, Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Payroll and Human Resources. Additional duties may be assigned by the Director of Athletics as desired.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree; 2-4 years professional experience inside an NCAA Intercollegiate Athletics Department in a business/operations/ticketing position or 3-5 years professional experience in a business/finance/accounting field; proficient with Mircrosoft Excel; strong interpersonal communication skills.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master's degree and 3-5 years professional experience in an NCAA Division I Department of Athletics; demonstrated experience with budget forecasting and budget management.


SALARY

Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
