Program Coordinator


Division of International Education


The Program Coordinator will be responsible for planning, marketing, recruitment and budgeting of summer study abroad programs year-round within the Division of International Education and will report to the Assistant Provost for International Education. In addition, the Program Coordinator will be responsible for onsite administration of the programs each summer, primarily in France and Italy.


Responsibility for the administration of study abroad programs. Duties will include content, marketing, student recruitment, accounting, budgeting, and overall organization. Marketing will include the production of brochures, flyers, and other promotional pieces, development and maintenance of the websites, nationwide travel to university fairs for recruitment purposes, social media posts, and follow-up on requests for information. Responsible for maintaining computerized information systems for study abroad programs offered by the Division of International Education to include developing, maintaining and updating program websites, the content management system for student applications and registrations, and mailing lists of students and alumni. Responsible for pre-departure student orientation and travel preparations and all on-site program coordination. Work with Academic Director(s) in the faculty and course selection and assist faculty and students with program development. Preparation of budgets and monitoring of all revenues and expenditures, both in the U.S. and abroad. Coordinate daily operation of the program(s) abroad when in session and act as liaison with critical entities and institutions, both in the U.S. and abroad, relative to on-going programs. Assist with other duties and new programming ideas as assigned by the Director of the Division of International Education.


Bachelor’s degree. Experience with student programming (preferably study abroad) in an administrative capacity. Such experience should include program organization, implementation, marketing and promotion, program evaluation, student and faculty recruitment, budgeting and accounting. Applicant must demonstrate the maturity and ability to work under pressure, both in the U.S. and abroad, demonstrate willingness to travel abroad when necessary, and work within a sometimes demanding and flexible work schedule. Excellent organizational skills and relevant marketing experience. Strong working knowledge of MS Office and social media platforms. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Master’s degree. Proven experience with study abroad coordination and management. Fluency or proficiency in a foreign language. Two years’ experience in an international education environment and experience living abroad. Comprehensive and commanding knowledge of software, including web design, database and content management design, spreadsheets, desktop publishing, MS Office, and social media platforms.


Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
