Medicaid Services Contract – Project Management


3 positions located in Baton Rouge


• Plans, coordinates, and executes communications related to the modernization systems project.
• Assists with production from draft creation through distribution of final product. Executes communications with Internal and external stakeholders, including enrollment brokers.
• Develops communication plan and message and determines target audience for a professional and timely presentation. Implements best practices and adheres to defined policies and procedures.
• Responsible for the creative aspects for project communications as per policies and procedures and for having work reviewed and approved by supervisor/project manager in advance of presentation to internal and external stakeholders.
• Schedules, prepares for, attends, and actively participates in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, project status meetings, and any other project-related meetings.
• Records, prepares, and distributes meeting minutes and action items, as assigned.
• Leads meetings as assigned.
• Conducts research relating to the development of the modernization systems.
• Evaluates new and/or revised regulations to determine the impact to the state Medicaid program and the development of the modernization systems.
• Reports project risks and issues to supervisor in a timely manner.
• Completes project status reports, as assigned.
• Coordinates document distribution to all team members.
• Communicates relevant information to project team as needed.
• Participates in project closure activities including documentation of lessons learned.
• Prepares, interprets, and clarifies eligibility policies and procedures.
• Reviews current and proposed state and federal regulations and/or revisions.
• Revises rules, regulations, and procedures to meet changes in law or policy.
• Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the project.


• Bachelor's degree, or 6 years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
• Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.
• Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills.
• Ability to set, follow, and meet deadlines.


• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 1 experience in health care field, Medicaid eligibility, or Medicaid program support.
• Minimum 1 years of professional experience in managing projects.
• Experience in presenting information to technical and non‐technical audiences.
• Professional experience with LDH information systems or programs utilized by the department.
• Experience in the creation, execution, and validation of system user acceptance testing.
