Medicaid Support Contract


(Position Located in Baton Rouge)


• Assists with ensuring compliance with the stipulations of the Wells v. Gee litigation court order and any future related court orders through the monitoring and tracking mechanisms developed for litigation compliance. Includes consulting with the LDH Bureau of Legal Services, managed care organizations, contractors, and LDH Waiver and Behavioral Health agencies as needed; conducting mandatory recipient notice reviews; and reviewing/formulating corrective action plans, reports, and relative documentation as stipulated in court orders and as deemed appropriate. • Reviews contractor deliverables for accuracy and completeness. • Identifies and tracks compliance issues for resolution. • Assists with designing and maintaining internal reports to ensure all monitoring activities remain on schedule and are completed within the required timelines. • Conducts and participates in meetings, workgroups, public meetings, and other activities as directed. • Records, prepares, and distributes meeting minutes and action items. • Assists the manager with maintaining updates to policies, procedures, and training manuals. • Plans, coordinates, and executes communications related to compliance; includes written and verbal communications and communications with both internal and external stakeholders. • Performs other tasks as directed.


• Bachelor’s degree. • Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills. • Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills. • Able to independently initiate communication with stakeholders; as well as effectively facilitate meetings, set agenda, and establish goals. • Ability to work in fast-paced environment. • Works well both independently and as part of a team. • Ability to set, follow, and meet deadlines.


• Advanced degree. • Minimum 1 year of professional experience with compliance and/or project management activity. • Professional experience in health care field or Medicaid program support. • Professional experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. • Experience reviewing and editing written content for accuracy, and general proofing/grammar. • Industry-related certifications.


Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
