DEPARTMENT: Medicaid Support Contract – LaHIPP

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Provide enrollment assistance and HIPP/Premium Assistance program information over the phone to Medicaid eligible recipients and their family members.
• Verify, document and investigate the presence of health care coverage for Medicaid recipients and their families.
• Assist in the identification of members that may qualify for the HIPP/Premium Assistance program.
• Assemble and review periodic production reports.
• Provide customer service to include high volume of phone work answering questions and other inquiries regarding the HIPP/Premium Assistance program.
• Perform data entry to include accurate and timely entry of information.
• Obtain and/or verify all items related to eligibility and enrollment into the HIPP/Premium Assistance program.
• Complete maintenance of active cases during open enrollment and premium review for check processing to assist with maintaining the revenue and program growth.
• Attend and participate in required meetings and trainings.
• Assist supervisors with the review of other eligibility employees' work to ensure that work is completed per the required guidelines.
• Assist supervisors with training and providing support to new and other staff in the office.
• Perform a quality control review of subordinates' work.
• Develop long and short range plans for staff organization, training, and equipment needs.
• Conduct an annual performance evaluation for each subordinate, setting future goals and strategies.
• Conduct recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and professional development of assigned staff.
• Other tasks as directed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree, or 6 years of professional work experience in lieu of degree.
• Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.
• Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills.
• Minimum 1 year of administrative support, customer service or call center experience.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience working with insurance.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Advanced degree.
• Supervisory experience
• Medical billing knowledge, health care terminology or similar math related experience.
• Professional experience in health care field, Medicaid/CHIP eligibility, or Medicaid program support.
• Minimum 2 years of administrative support, customer service or call center experience.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience working with insurance.
• Professional experience in health care field or Medicaid program support.
Relevant industry certifications.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
