Pharmacy Rebate – Coordinator 1

(2 Positions – Located in Baton Rouge)

POSITION #:  4553 & 5213

DEPARTMENT:  Medicaid Technical Services Contract – Pharmacy Rebate

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform extensive claims analyses and research through exportation of large volumes of data to Microsoft Excel with the use of spreadsheet program functions and formulas.
  • Research and resolve rebate invoice disputes made by drug manufactures.
  • Provide backup assistance to the Pharmacy Helpdesk Hotline in troubleshooting incoming calls.
  • Review and investigate monthly outlier reports to proactively identify and prevent provider billing errors.
  • Identify overpaid claims to providers and drafts letters concerning recovery of the overpayments.
  • Communicate issues and pertinent information to providers, drug companies, and staff members through verbal and written communication.
  • Receive participating drug manufacturer rebate payments and assist with the entry of those payments into the rebate accounting system.
  • Compile monthly and quarterly productivity reports that track current projects, achievements and future goals that need to be completed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  •   Prior customer service experience.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
