Faculty

Faculty vacancies, for the purpose of this listing, include full-time and part-time positions at the rank of Instructor or above and equivalent ranks. Accordingly, successful candidates impacted by Act 264 will be expected to comply with these requirements as a condition of employment.

Unclassified (Administrative/Professional Positions)

Administrative/Professional vacancies include administrative officer and professional staff positions as well as positions specifically exempt from the classified service under Article X of the Constitution of Louisiana (these employees are sometimes referred to as "unclassified") or other positions exempt from the classified service by special action of the State of Louisiana, Department of Civil Service. Classified (Civil Service) Positions

Classified vacancies are positions covered under the provisions of the Department of Civil Service of the State of Louisiana. Applications will be accepted from any person who meets the qualifications listed for the job in which a person is interested. Certain jobs will require testing at Civil Service which must be completed before applying. Occasionally at the discretion of HRM, recently recruited applicant pools may be used to fill vacancies of the same title occurring in other departments.
