POSITION SUMMARY: Perform duties at the Lakefront Arena and on Arena Grounds as well as other areas under the management of the Lakefront Arena. Assists in developing and maintaining tracking system for building's inventory. Recommends new procedures to benefit department. Ability to assume the planning, coordination and supervision of an event including pre-event, load-in, during-event, load-out and post event.

Duties are frequently performed nights, weekends, and holidays; all with widely varying hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Recruit, train, and supervise production personnel which personnel can be both in-house and out-sourced. Plan and organize the work of full-time personnel and a large part-time labor pool. Assemble part-time in-house production staff as needed for events. Supervise set-ups and change-overs for event types including but not limited to basketball games, volleyball games, concerts, theatrical productions, dance revues, trade shows, rodeos, ice shows, meetings, and religious services. Supervise and coordinate set-up of, but not limited to, any or all of the following: chairs, tables, risers, staging, portable floors, drapes, crowd control barricades, meeting room wall configuration changes, production phone and internet service, temporary electrical services for events and any other logistic concerns that may be affiliated with events either provided in-house or by out-sourced entities. Supervises third-party vendors supplying services such as but not limited to production labor, audio-visual services, electrician services, and janitorial services both daily and for events. Manage the movement and storage of a wide variety of building equipment including portable staging, chairs, portable floors, tables, risers, etc.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree, or in lieu of a degree, six years of administrative office level managerial experience in supervision of production personnel for a variety of events in large entertainment, recreational, or similar facility.
Knowledge of principles and techniques required for sake operation of forklifts, ride-on floor scrubbing equipment, sound and lighting system patching and operation of same to accommodate various events, operation of computer controlled fly system to accommodate various events, elementary rigging practices. Knowledge of principles and techniques required in building portable staging systems and portable floors, installation of hydraulic type portable basketball goals, set-up of electronic control components for basketball scoreboards. Ability to communicate well, both written and orally. Ability to manage sensitive personnel management issues. Demonstrate proficiency in computer program usage as applicable. Ability to work long irregular hours as dictated by event schedule.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Advanced degree. Experience in an arena, concert venue, assembly center, or other such entertainment venues.

SALARY: $35,000-$38,000
