Training Liaison

DEPARTMENT: Medicaid Services Contract – Policy Training

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Perform liaison role between the UNO Policy Training Unit and LDH State office.
• Communicate with policy training supervisor regarding LDH State office training requests.
• Participate in meetings that are held in the State office and act as the Policy Training Unit's team lead.
• Assist with the development of general Medicaid policy trainings and courses regarding Medicaid policies and procedures. These trainings may include online courses and courses conducted via webinar.
• Manage, update and maintain current and upcoming classes in the LMS (Learning Management System) and calendar.
• Meet with LDH staff to discuss policy changes and their effects on training materials. Disseminate information regarding the requested changes to trainings to policy training supervisor.
• Review final training materials to ensure that they are accurate, complete and that it meets the required specifications.
• Maintain training materials that accurately reflect current Medicaid policies and procedures.
• Assist with assembling trainings that pertain to implemented changes for systems and applications utilized by the Medicaid staff.
• Secure venues for all eligibility and specialized classes and workshops. Compile materials needed for venue, including set‐up and tear‐down of workstations for a hands‐on classroom experience as required. Some venues may require overnight travel.
• Perform administrative tasks associated with financial record keeping.
• Other tasks as directed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree.
• Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.
• Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in health care field or Medicaid program support.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience in training related field.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Advanced degree
• Knowledge of Louisiana Medicaid Policies & Procedures.
• Minimum 2 year of professional experience in health care field or Medicaid program support.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a training related field.
• Previous experience in public speaking, presentations and/or training environments.
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience with the use of an industry Learning Management System.
• Knowledge of instructional design programs: Adobe Captivate, knowledge of Adobe Presenter, or Articulate software.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
