Program Monitor – Covered Services

DEPARTMENT: Medicaid Services Contract – Compliance

• Assist with Medicaid benefits management and program monitoring.
• Efficiently manage the Prior Authorization Liaison (PAL) referral process for the assigned Medicaid programs.
• Assist the program manager with resolving programmatic issues by researching and reviewing Medicaid benefits/policies.
• Assist the program manager with policy development by researching other state Medicaid program benefits/policies.
• Assist the program manager with special projects.
• Collaborates with LDH staff, other programs and State agencies, on program benefit policy development, planning and implementation.
• Participate in workgroups, public meetings, and other activities as directed.
• Participate in disaster relief activities at the request of the Medicaid Program, LDH or UNO.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

• Bachelor Degree
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience
• Strong desire to work toward improving the health of Louisiana's residents.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environment.
• Highly self-motivated; working well both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong computer and research skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Able to independently initiate communication with stakeholders; as well as effectively facilitate meetings, set agenda, and establish goals.

• Bachelor's Degree in public health, health policy, or other health related field.
• Advanced degree.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience working in health-related field as a licensed clinical professional.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience working with health insurance or medical office billing and coding.
• Professional experience in healthcare field, health insurance or Medicaid program support.
• Relevant industry certifications.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
