Executive Assistant to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs

POSITION SUMMARY: The Executive Assistant to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs reports directly to the Provost and is responsible for establishing and maintaining the Provost's calendar and assisting in organizing his daily activities. Additionally, this person will assist with the logistics for all academic searches and accreditation visits and manage accreditation responses for Academic Affairs.

The Executive Assistant will manage and coordinate promotion, tenure and sabbatical material submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs from the colleges for review/approval. He or she will also assist with the coordination and tracking of retroactive student appeal material submitted to Academic Affairs from the colleges.  

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Executive Assistant to the Provost will be responsible for managing the complex scheduling of the Provost calendar, which includes coordinating the Provost's activities to support those of the President. The Executive Assistant will also coordinate all logistics associated with academic searches and accreditation visits. They will also manage accreditation responses for Academic Affairs.  

The Executive Assistant will assist with the coordination and tracking of retroactive student appeal material submitted to Academic Affairs from the colleges for review/approval. He or she will also manage and coordinate promotion and tenure and sabbatical material submitted to the Office of Academic Affairs from the colleges for review/approval. Additionally they will prepare approved material to be sent to the Board of Supervisors for final approval.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Master's degree required: plus professional work experience in a campus setting, knowledge of higher education and common practices and strong organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualification and experience
