DEPARTMENT:     Office of Communications, Public Relations and Marketing

POSITION SUMMARY: Provide creative concepts, in collaboration with the communications team, on the design, layout and production of content for on-campus and off-campus audiences. Develop and produce graphic designs for print and online communications materials. A focus on creative design of materials designated for branding and for recruitment of prospective students and related audiences.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Design creative for multiple medium advertising campaigns and create original artwork while working within the university brand frameworks and guidelines.Produce layouts, drawings, models, mockups and dummies for use in client review presentations and manage multiple graphic design projects in an efficient, collaborative and time sensitive manner.

Materials to include, but not be limited to: Brochures, Print materials, Invitations, Newsletters, Billboards, Print ads, Posters and fliers, Promotional materials, Event collateral (signs, name badges, programs, etc.), Presentation templates.

Web design: Experience with basic HTML and CSS. Ability to maintain content on current websites, Ability to design and web-enable websites, including visual execution, information architecture and content layout. Ability to translate core design concepts for web.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Required: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related area.

A minimum of 3 years of experience. Experience on a Mac using design software including but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite (CS5 and above). Experience with HTML and CSS as well as various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, etc.). Demonstrative knowledge of core design concepts.

Also required are organization and communications skills, and knowledge of graphic production processes

SALARY: $35,000 - $50,000
