Pharmacy Rebate – Coordinator 2

DEPARTMENT: Medicaid Services Contract – Pharmacy Rebate


Perform extensive claims analyses and research through exportation of large volumes of data to Microsoft Excel with the use of spreadsheet program functions and formulas.Research and resolve rebate invoice disputes made by drug manufactures.Provide back‐up assistance to the Pharmacy Helpdesk Hotline in troubleshooting incoming calls.Review and investigate monthly outlier reports to proactively identify and prevent provider billing errors.Identify overpaid claims to providers and drafts letters concerning recovery of the overpayments.Communicate issues and pertinent information to providers, drug companies, and staff members through verbal and written communication.Receive participating drug manufacturer rebate payments and assist with the entry of those payments into the rebate accounting system.Compile monthly and quarterly productivity reports that track current projects, achievements and future goals that need to be completed.Assist co‐workers with complex payment postings, reconciliation questions and technical issues.Conduct an annual performance evaluation for each subordinate, setting future goals and strategies.

Conduct recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and professional development of assigned staff.


Bachelor's degree.Minimum 1 year of professional experience in a general accounting or auditing position.Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.


Advanced degree.Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a general accounting or auditing position.Experience in federal/state health care programs.Professional experience in health care field or Medicaid program support.CPT, ICD‐9/10 coding and HCPCS knowledge.CHDA, HIM, RHIA, RHIT, CCA, CMA, CPA, CIA, CGAP, HFMA or other relevant industry certifications.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
