Project Director – IT Support

(Position Located in Baton Rouge)

DEPARTMENT: DHH Technical Services Contract

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project management/Grant Administration (as assigned) especially University contracts with state agencies;Operations, personnel, financial, business development, liaison to agencies/companies utilizing technical assistance.Oversight: contract project management, user support and technical training.

Management and coordination of technology related to the operational requirements, specifically:

Project Management, applications management, hardware/software acquisition, hardware/software maintenance department liaison with University Administration.Responsibility for university mandated administrative functions for Department of Health and Hospitals Contract:Purchasing (distributed) and property control (distributed).

Conduct an annual performance evaluation for each subordinate, setting future goals and strategies.Conduct recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and professional development of assigned staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree. Minimum 5 years of proven leadership experience in the technology arena.

Note: Master's degree will substitute for 1 year of experience.

Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Advanced degree

Professional experience with DHH information systems or programs utilized by the department. Minimum 6 years of proven leadership experience in the technology arena. Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience. Professional designations.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
