Admissions Counselor for Freshmen Recruitment

DEPARTMENT: Office of Admissions

POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Assistant Director of Recruitment, the Admissions Counselor will coordinate recruitment programs on and off campus, advise students regarding program offerings and assist with reviewing applications.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating on and off campus recruitment programs, advise prospective students of program offerings and admission requirements, interview and admit prospective students, evaluate transcripts, and assist with reviewing applications as needed; Work in collaboration with fellow counselors and other admissions staff on special projects, activities, orientations, and events; Communicate with other offices on campus as needed in regards to Financial Aid, Academic Advising, Counseling and Career Services, Health Services, etc.; and Assist the Assistant Director of Recruitment in visiting high schools, creating new initiatives for prospective students, managing territory reports, and tracking applications and admits.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  Bachelor's degree; Excellent oral and written communications skill and strong interpersonal skills; Ability to relate to individuals of all ages and backgrounds; Willingness to travel and work non-traditional hours; and Possess a high energy level and be a self-starter.

SALARY: Up to $30,000; Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
