Assistant Men's and Women's Track, Field, and Cross Country Coach

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assist the head coach in the organization and direction of all aspects of a NCAA Division I men's and women's cross country, indoor and outdoor track and field program. Play an active role in the academic progress and development of student-athletes with an emphasis on progress towards graduation.

Identify and recruit athletically and academically qualified student-athletes. Take part in regular practice sessions and meet preparation. Assist in administrative duties related to the operation of the program

Assist with all aspects of the promotional and public relations activities of the track, field and cross country programs and the athletic department.

Represent UNO in a positive manner at any events on or off campus. Employee shall at all times abide by rules and regulations of the NCAA and Division I with respect to the administration of the University's athletic program. Employee shall at all times conduct themselves in an ethical manner in association with the standards set forth by NCAA Bylaws and University policies and procedures.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science or related field. Experience working in a Division I track & field program. Extensive knowledge of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.​

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

​Master's degree; Previous head or assistant coaching experience. Track record of recruiting student-athletes that contribute at a high level in the classroom.​​

SALARY: Compensation commensurate with education and experience.
