Dean, College of Business Administration


DEPARTMENT: Academic Affairs

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Dean of the College of Business Administration will be responsible for the following duties:

Development activities such as the development of contacts with the business community; creation and maintenance of college advisory board; fund raising for the college; coordination of college services to local community services on boards and organizations in the community.University activities such as participating in meetings with Deans, Vice Presidents, and the President for planning purposes and for resolution of major budgetary, curricula and personnel challenges; interdisciplinary program development; committee involvement.College activities such as operating as the chief officer for budget, curricula, personnel strategic planning, research productivity and resources, and accreditation. Supervision of department chairs and directors of support units with authority to recommend employment/and or termination of employees in the College, tenure and promotion decisions funneled from departments, grants and contracts activity, class scheduling; responsibility for the graduate and undergraduate degrees offered by the College including registration activities and student problems.Supervising personnel such as the associate dean, assistant dean, department chairs, department directors, support unit directors, computer lab manager, counselors, and secretarial staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Doctorate in appropriate field of business. An active record of scholarly accomplishment including publication in refereed journals. Development or fund-raising experience. Administrative experience as a department chair, Associate/Assistant Dean or other University Directorship. 

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
