Program Director

DEPARTMENT: New Orleans Jazz Institute (NOJI)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following tasks and responsibilities:

Developing and directing the projects, services, and events of NOJI.Directing special events.Collaborating with NOJI partners.Overseeing all marketing and public relations initiatives.Working collaboratively with the faculty and administration of UNO's Jazz Studies Program.Serving as liaison to the Office of Advancement and to contracted marketing personnel.Arranging regular meetings for NOJI Board of Advisiors and other institute stakeholders.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

Experience in an arts/music organization. Bachelor's degree with experience in programming and organizational management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Desktop publishing and Web management. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's Degree in Arts Administration or related field, knowledge of fund raising software and non-profit organization. Familiarity with local music scene and/or national and international jazz community.

SALARY: Commensurate with experience
