Policy Training – Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: Medicaid Support Contract – Policy Training

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist BHSF in development of training and planning for system implementation and Medicaid policy interpretation.Conduct general Medicaid policy training and hands‐on assistance for the Medicaid staff and Application Center staff through seminars and classes pertaining to Medicaid's policies and procedures for the different State Medicaid offices and sections.Manage/Maintain Medicaid‐wide Learning Management System.Secure venues for all eligibility specialized classes and workshops along with performing administrative tasks with the assembling of the material along with any financial record keeping for expenses that are incurred while training. Some venues may require travel to training sites, set‐up and tear‐down training workstations as needed.Assist the agency in conducting needs assessment for training and staff development.Manage and report on all daily activities within the Training Unit which includes, the development and delivery of all training modules.Develop long and short range plans for staff organization, training, and equipment needs. Evaluate and implement appropriate information technology and develop long range plans for the most effective use of multimedia learning.Assist in the development of standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure efficient and effective division operations.Conduct an annual performance evaluation for each subordinate, setting future goals and strategies.Conduct recruitment, selection, training, supervision, and professional development of assigned staff.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree.Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a training related field.Minimum 2 year of professional experience with the use of an industry Learning Management System.Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Advanced degree.Minimum 4 years of professional experience in a training related field.Minimum 3 years of professional experience with the use of an industry Learning Management System.Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
