Assistant Professor of Educational Administration / Higher Education

DEPARTMENT: Educational Leadership, Counseling, and Foundations

RESPONSIBILITIES:     This tenure-track position is associated with the Ph.D. and M.Ed. education administration and leadership programs. Faculty members are expected to be active scholars in the study of higher education leadership and/or policy, committed to teaching excellence, and to participate in department/college activities. Responsibilities will include maintaining an active research agenda, teaching and advising graduate students, including oversight of dissertations; other scholarship in the form of service to the educational community, and curriculum development.

QUALIFICATIONS:       An earned doctorate in higher education leadership/policy is required. We seek candidates who can demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively and who have experience preferably in an urban setting, with economically, socially, and ethnically diverse communities. Desired qualifications include experience in grant-writing, distance learning technologies, ability to teach research courses, and those with dissertation advising experience.

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
