Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor

DEPARTMENT: Planning and Urban Studies

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Professor will teach courses in environmental planning, hazards and resilience, and urban planning. These courses can include but are not limited to MURP 6020, MURP 4140/G, URBN 4150/G and URBN 4810/G. Additional duties include supervising master and doctoral level students, engaging in applied or basic research, and administrative duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:  PhD or ABD in Urban Planning or a closely related field. Interest and commitment to planning research as well as professional planning practice.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: AICP certification or intent to seek certification is preferred. A documented record of supervising masters and doctoral level students.

SALARY: Up to $60,000. Commensurate with experience and education.
