The String Program at UNO gives students the unique opportunity to study and perform alongside The Lott Quartet.
Recently appointed as string quartet-in-residence at the University of New Orleans, the Lott Quartet begins a role as musical ambassadors to the greater Southeast region, bringing their passion as performers and educators to audiences and students throughout the Gulf region.
The program offers students with weekly private instruction, solo and chamber performance workshops, masterclasses, chamber music coachings, orchestral excerpt training, and opportunities to perform across throughout the region.
The Lott String Quartet are all individually members of the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, the Gulf region’s only full-time professional orchestra and have studied chamber music with some of the world’s finest chamber musicians including members of the Juilliard, Guarneri, Cleveland, Brentano, Miro and St. Lawrence String Quartets.
