The Dr. Robert A. Savoie College of Engineering is home to the Center for Equity and Diversity, supported through a grant from the National Science Foundation. The Center for Equity and Diversity in Engineering serves all students and faculty in the College of Engineering, with special focus on supporting the recruitment, retention, and degree completion of underrepresented minority and female engineer students. One of CEDE’s focus is to support students through connections and programs that increase engagement, retention, and overall success in engineering. CEDE hopes to foster the educational and professional development of a diverse engineering talent pool through the support of equitable academic support, mentorship, and programmatic initiatives centered on creating an environment in which students feel they belong.
CEDE is located in the College of Engineering – room 306. We encourage students to stop by and engage in workshops, an open study space/lounge, and experience a supportive environment that speaks to the sense of belonging in the College of Engineering.
