Minor in Women’s and Gender Studies
The College of Liberal Arts administers the interdisciplinary Minor in Women's and Gender Studies. The purpose of this minor is to acquaint the student with current and historical knowledge of the fields of Women's and Gender Studies. The minor signifies that the student has a basic and general understanding of existing scholarship on women and gender.
The requirements of the minor are as follows:
- Completion of the requirements of a degree in one of the colleges
at UNO. - Completion of WGS 2010, Introduction to Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies.
- Credit in courses on Women's and Gender Studies, to be approved by the Director of Women's and Gender Studies, for a total of 18 credit hours with a 2.0 grade point average, to include at least six credit hours at the 3000 level or above.
- To complete the 18 credit hours, the student must choose from a minimum of three disciplines, with no more than six credit hours from any one discipline.
