Joyce C. Lambert, Ph.D., is the Arthur Anderson Professor of Accounting. Her focus has been on research directed toward the CPA practitioner. She has published articles concentrating on auditing standards. She was a pioneer in using flowcharts for explaining auditing standards and also developed the first audit case for the microcomputer. Dr. Lambert has published articles in the Journal of Accountancy, Auditing: A Journal of Practice and Theory, the CPA Journal, Management Accounting, Internal Auditor, the Louisiana CPA, Nebraska CPA Magazine, and the Michigan CPA. She has served as Accounting Internship coordinator since 1998. Since 1995, she has directed the Internal Auditing Endorsed Program (IAEP) as Coordinator for UNO’s IAEP Program endorsed by the international group. Dr. Lambert serves on the Board of Governors of the local New Orleans Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors. She is also Faculty in Residence at the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the New Orleans office. Her position is one of only 3 faculty members in the United States and makes weekly visits to the New Orleans FBI office to work with their white-collar crime squad on cases.
