UNO Alumnus and Instructor Selected as Chevron/Saints "Teacher of the Week"
A University of New Orleans alumnus and instructor has for the second time been selected as "Teacher of the Week" by Chevron Oil Company and the New Orleans Saints
Thomas Wright, an alumnus of the UNO College of Education and Human Development and an instructor in the University's Department of Curriculum and Instruction, will be recognized on Monday, Sept. 30 during halftime at the Saints' regular season home game versus the Miami Dolphins.
Wright teaches elementary school at Edward Hynes Charter School in New Orleans.
Communications staff from the New Orleans Saints Wright last week on the Hynes campus to gather classroom footage of Wright interacting with his students and conduct a one-on-one video with the instructor that will be featured on big screens at the Louisiana Mercedes-Benz Superdome during the on-field presentation of Wright's award at halftime.
