The University of New Orleans and Latter & Blum, Inc. will present the 29th Dr. Ivan Miestchovich Economic Outlook & Real Estate Forecast Seminar on Friday, April 27, 2018 on the University's campus. It will take place from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Sen. Ted Hickey Ballroom of the University Center. This annual seminar brings together people from a wide cross-section of the region's business, professional and civic communities.
The seminar will be moderated by Robert Penick, director of the Institute for Economic Development and Real Estate Research.
Trends and outlooks for the single family and multifamily real estate markets will open the seminar. The residential issues panel will be comprised of Lacey Conway, president of Latter & Blum, Inc., and Kevin Hilbert of Kevin Hilbert & Associates. Economist Loren C. Scott delivers the keynote address on the state and regional economic outlook. Scott is president of Loren C. Scott & Associates, Inc. and professor emeritus of economics at LSU. He is a co-developer of a method used to generate annual forecasts of Louisiana's economy. The seminar will conclude with a commercial panel examining the trends and outlooks for the industrial, office and retail real estate markets. This year's panelists include Property One, Inc. CEO Quentin Dastugue, Stirling Properties senior investment sales advisor Beezie Landry and NAI/Latter & Blum commercial sales and leasing associate Daniel Marse.
