Four University of New Orleans students are recipients of the Cedric Richmond Scholarship, provided by the Office of the Governor’s Success Council.
The four UNO Cedric Richmond Scholarship winners for spring 2025 are: Eian Bailey, a junior planning and urban studies major; Joshua Joubert, a senior film and theatre major; Jonathan Reed Jr., a sophomore accounting major; and Kyson Small, a sophomore computer science major.
The scholarships are awarded to African-American male students who attend Louisiana public institutions, exhibit a commitment to their education and demonstrate financial need. An awards reception to honor their achievements will be hosted by the Governor's Office in Baton Rouge on March 6.
All four UNO scholarship winners are Reginald F. Lewis Scholars, a program that enhances the collegiate experience of Black male students in the University of Louisiana System. Lewis Scholars receive access to educational programs, mentoring opportunities and co-curricular experiences to improve outcomes.
