About
Dr. James Wagner is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of New Orleans. He received his Ph.D. and Master’s in Computer Science from DePaul University, and he received his Bachelor’s in Chemistry from Marquette University. His primary research interest is in cybersecurity related to the prevention and detection of data tampering and exfiltration, formal methods in database forensics, fine-grained access control policies for database systems, and data retention policies. Dr. Wagner’s other research interests include improving database performance, such as storage-aware indexing and optimizing queries that contain user-defined predicates.
