Congratulations to Helen Choi, budget development coordinator in the Office of Business Affairs, for being selected as the November Service with Jazz Employee of the Month!
Ms. Choi is "dependable and has taken on the toughest challenges without hesitation and maintains a positive attitude in the course of some very stressful situations," says Assistant Vice President of Business Affairs Tiffany Soublet. "This includes working nights and weekends to prepare additional reports and meet deadlines that have moved forward."
Her attention to detail is invaluable when preparing and/or reviewing the approximately 30 additional reports required to compile the University's budget book, a new need resulting from the University's transition to the University of Louisiana System, says Soublet. Recently, she has also been very helpful in the training of new hires (campus-wide) on accessing and understanding PeopleSoft Financials budget and expenditure nVision reports while continuing to perform her own duties.
"Helen is known for her quiet, calm demeanor, and her willing and cooperative attitude," says Soublet. "Ms. Choi has a good working relationship with various departments campus-wide and goes the extra mile when necessary. She has never complained, never said that it was not her responsibility or not in her job description, nor said that she did not have the time."
"Also, I can honestly say that there is not one task that I have given Ms. Choi in which she has said that she could not do, did not have time to do, or that it could not be done," says Soublet. "She always says, 'Let me see what I can do.' And she gets it done."
