What is UNIV 1003 - Academic Success?

In an effort to better assist students who wish to improve their GPA, the office of University Success now offers UNIV 1003 - Academic Success. This one-credit, letter-graded course is designed to assist students in developing an Academic Study Plan as well as review important topics related to student success -- such as time management, study skills, library services, tutoring, etc. Taught by an Academic Advisor or other campus professional, students have the opportunity to build a one-on-one relationship with a professional staff member who is concerned about their academic, personal and social success at the University of New Orleans.

Currently, students who are placed on Academic Probation or return from being Scholastically Dropped have little to no support measures in place. This course was designed to support those students and help them to improve their skills. UNIV 1003 is open to all students who wish to improve their academic success skills. However, enrollment will be limited to freshmen, sophomore and junior students. Seniors, barring any significant explanation, will be restricted from taking this course.
