PRAXIS Information
PRAXIS is a standardized test required for teacher certification. You can register for PRAXIS here. Be sure to select UNO as a recipient. Study guides can also be found on the website.
PRAXIS exams focus on 3 areas
PRAXIS II:
- Content – knowledge of general education areas of concentration (i.e., elementary, mathematics)
- Mild/Moderate pedagogy - knowledge of special education related to mild/moderate disabilities (Taken and passed about 1 ½ semesters prior to Student Teaching or Internship)
- Principles of Learning and Teaching (Taken and passed about 1 ½ semesters prior to Student Teaching or the Internship)
