Admission Requirements
Computer Science (M.S.)
Admission Requirements
All applicants must meet the graduate school's admission requirements, which can be found here:
https://www.uno.edu/academics/grad/admission-requirements
In addition, the department specific application/admission requirements are as follows:
- Statement of Purpose
- Three letters of recommendation
- GRE score is NOT required
If undergraduate CGPA is not in 4.0 scale, then applicant is required to provide a credential evaluation (i.e., US equivalence in 4.0 scale) from an authorized authority (e.g., ECE, WES).
Applicants without an Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science
Applicants without a 4-year undergraduate degree in Computer Science will also be welcome to the MS in CS program once prerequisites (below) are met. Such students should apply as undergraduate "non-degree" students. Once they complete the prerequisites, they can apply to the graduate program. If a student has significant experience in Computer Science but does not have academic credentials reflecting this experience, contact the Graduate Coordinator to arrange for testing which may result in bypassing some prerequisites.
