What is the Job Location and Development Program?
The Job Location and Development (JLD) Program at the University of New Orleans is a federally funded program that aids students in securing work experience opportunities including: part-time, flexible, temporary and seasonal jobs, volunteer opportunities, and cooperative education positions, internships, and apprenticeships. The purpose of the program is to help students find opportunities that align with their academic and career goals, as well as their passions. These opportunities are made available to all students.
Purpose
The Career Services Office at the University of New Orleans strives to prepare all students for the workforce through career development. The JLD program allows students to get hands-on work experience in a field of their choice, which will let them to develop professional skills, increase their career readiness, and strengthen their work ethic.
Employers will also have the opportunity to connect with motivated students in search of growing in their field outside of their coursework and connecting with employers in the Greater New Orleans region.
Are you interested in getting involved?
Students can access current job opportunities (both on and off campus) through Handshake. Student will have need to complete their profile in order to search and apply for jobs.
Employers with open positions can post jobs and manage student applications by completing an account on Handshake.
