ELCE Certified Experiential Learning Departments & Programs
The Office of Experiential Learning and Community Engagement (ELCE) offers certification to departments and degree programs that require a significant amount of credit hours in experiential learning courses.
Certified Undergraduate Degree Programs
• BA in Fine Arts (Studio Arts concentration)
• BS in Elementary Education
• BS in Secondary Education
• BA in Music (Composition, Jazz Studies, and Performance concentrations)
An ELCE Certified Experiential Learning Program requires 20 or more credit hours of experiential learning.
Certified Departments
• Chemistry
• Earth and Environmental Sciences
If at least 70% of the undergraduate degree programs offered by a department require 20 or more credit hours of experiential learning, then the department earns the title of Certified Experiential Learning Department.
