National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
The NSSE is a student survey that measures participation in institutional programs and activities geared toward learning and personal development. The survey results do not directly measure student learning, but rather help identify areas where an institution is performing well and areas that need to be improved.
The purpose of the test is to assist UNO in collecting data upon which decisions can be made for improvement of the general education curriculum. The test also serves the institution in complying with requirements to assess the general education curriculum. Results will be used for program improvement purposes.

The NSSE is administered every 3-5 years in the spring semester to a randomly selected sample of the undergraduate student body. Students will be notified of their selection and testing details. No preparation is necessary and there is no student fee associated with the test.
