Join us at UNO Lakefront Arena for our Homecoming Tailgate at Noon on Saturday, November 11. We'll have group tents, a big alumni area with treats and UNO giveaways, food and drinks, a Kids' Zone with inflatables, games and entertainment all day! Bring the family out, connect with old and new friends and cheer on the Privateers! The tailgate is FREE to attend.

TENT/SPACE RENTALS

Have a business you'd like to promote to students and alumni? Have a big group of friends who'd like to celebrate together? Want to get your UNO club (greek organizations, academic or fun clubs, sports teams, etc) back together?

Rent a tent or space for your group or business.

To reserve a space in Homecoming Tailgate Village, you’ll need to buy one of three Tent packages:

• $500: includes one 20’ x 20’ tent set up and reserved for you, 2 tables and 10 chairs, 20 tickets to the game.

• $250: includes one 10’ x 10’ tent set up and reserved for you, 1 table and 6 chairs, 10 tickets to the game.

• $100: includes a 15’ x 15’ space reserved for you (bring your own tent, tables and chairs), 10 tickets to the game.

Can my tailgate space be near my friends or my fraternity?

Absolutely, you’ll just need to coordinate with Vince Granito. All spaces within the Homecoming Tailgate Village must be reserved in advance – you can’t show up and place your own tent in open space.

Can I bring tailgate materials, like grills or TVs?

Of course! Homecoming Tailgate Village will be available to those who have reserved spaces beginning on Friday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm to drop off larger items. Overnight security will be provided. Gates will be closed and locked starting at 8:00pm; gates open again on Saturday morning at 8:00am.

*Grills and smokers are fine; open flames are not allowed.

You may bring larger items to Homecoming Tailgate Village on Saturday morning up until 10:30am. At 11:00am, Homecoming Tailgate Village will be closed to vehicles, making it pedestrian only for the safety of all attendees.

What’s the schedule of events? When do I need to be there?

The day starts early, as gates to Homecoming Tailgate Village will open starting at 11 a.m. As noted above, at 10:30 am all auto traffic should end, making Tailgate Village pedestrian only.

All food trucks, bounce houses, face painting and other kids’ activities will be available starting at noon.

The Men’s Basketball Game vs. SUNO starts at 4:00pm and will last approximately two hours.

1. RESERVE YOUR SPACE: buy your tent package no later than Tuesday, November 7th.

2. CHECK IN AND SET UP: check in at Tailgate Village on Friday night between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m.. You’ll be assigned a specific tent; signage will be waiting for you. Bring any large items you want to leave overnight, like grills, at this time.

3. SATURDAY AM SET UP: Additional load-in time will be available on Saturday morning between 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. After 10:30 a.m., no cars will be allowed into Tailgate Village.

4. GAMEDAY!: Tailgating begins at 11a.m. on Saturday and runs until tip-off of the game at 4 p.m..

5. CLEAN UP: Please clean up your area post event and place thrash in receptacles. All items must be removed from Tailgate Village post event. Items left will be discarded.

Regulations

• Purchasing a tent space is required to tailgate within Tailgate Village. Fans without pre-purchased tent spaces are welcome to attend and enjoy but will not be able to set up their own tents in Tailgate Village.

• All participants at Tailgate Village are required to have knowledge of and follow all laws, University policies and the Student Code of Conduct. These can be found here: Student Handbook and Policies

• The representative who signed up for the Tailgating space must be available on property during the duration of the tailgate.

• You are responsible for the behavior and actions of your members and guests and the University reserves the right to revoke the use of a Tailgating space at any time.

• All groups registering must display their Tailgating space signage, which will be provided by the university.

• Parking is free in the South and North lot of the Lakefront Arena. No vehicles are permitted to be in the tailgating area on gameday after 10:30 a.m.

• All participants will provide their own tailgating supplies including music, refreshments, decorations, tables, and seating. Select tent packages include limited tables and chairs.

• Music must be shut down 30 minutes prior to game time. Tailgate setups are allowed to remain in place during and after the game. Chairs and other items must be removed no later than 10:00 a.m. the following day (Sunday).

• Port-o-potties will be available within Tailgate Village.

• Admission to Lakefront Arena will be through Gate 1, located at the top of the ramp. Tickets are required for entry. Bags will be checked upon entry. Students may enter by showing their Student ID card.

• The university is not responsible for any items lost, stolen, damaged or otherwise ill-affected at Tailgate Village or on Lakefront Arena grounds.
