The UNO-Innsbruck Team

Ryan Bell, Director of Experiential Learning and Study Away
As an experienced university administrator and passionate world traveler, I am thrilled to be a member of UNO’s International Education team and working on the legendary UNO-Innsbruck International Summer School. My professional background is in high impact practices, and I am a believer that studying away from home has the strongest impact of all. I studied abroad, both as an undergraduate and graduate student, in London and Albania. Both of these opportunities changed my life for the better! Through my work with the UNO-Innsbruck International Summer School, I aim to ensure that all of our students have incredible experiences abroad that increase their global perspective and improve their lives through broadening their understanding of the world and its people.

Claire Mc Gowan, Associate Director of International Education
With fifteen years of experience working in International Education, I am delighted to be a part of UNO's team, and I am especially excited to be working on the UNO-Innsbruck Summer School. Studying abroad can be a truly life-changing experience, and our Innsbruck program is the ideal opportunity to facilitate personal and professional growth for our students. My aim is to always help students realize the full potential of their abroad experience and to broaden their understanding of the world and of the cultures within it.

Jennifer Torres, Assistant Director of International Education
My previous travels have sent me to Asia, and I have spent a summer in the city of Innsbruck for the UNO-Innsbruck 2023 program. I'm very happy to continue helping students participate on the UNO-Innsbruck International Summer School! I love traveling and learning about new cultures, so I hope students will open up to all the possibilities this program offers. I studied abroad with UNO in the summer of 2010 in Japan and graduated with my B.A. in English, Creative Writing and a Minor in Fine Arts. Years later, I returned to UNO as Program Coordinator for the Japan summer program. I was able to give students a chance to experience the same life-changing opportunity I had when I studied abroad. Now, I hold the position of Assistant Director for International Education here at UNO which gives me the opportunity to work with many students with different study abroad goals.
